Trippy more like...
But there is!
'04 only had small and large sizes, starting from '05 the old small became medium and an even smaller frame was added. Then in '06 the large size disappeared for the chase 1, only to reappear in '08 and stay til '09. The other models had large sizes from '05 through '09.
I reckon this is an '06 chase 2, if I'm not mistaken, of which there was in fact a large size.
The seat tube is nearly the same for all sizes but I'm after every bit of extra top tube length I can get. The real hard part is I'm only up for a large black frame :P
So my options are limited to the '04 2, the '06 2, the '07 4 or the 08' 3. The black & bones paintjob on the separate frame this year really doesn't appeal to me, and I'd much rather have an ano finish than paint.
The saddest thing of course, is that in 2010 it's gone altogether, thanks to some sodding diaper factory in the far east. I'll be stuck choosing between a santa cruz jackal, woodman elite, MDE anvil and a banshee amp because the intense tazer ht is going to be balls out expensive. And probably red. Yuck.
You people really need to learn to spell right if you want your articles to be taken seriously. This time you even got the bloody brand name wrong :D
Anodization never phased (Fazed? What!?) out, we've all probably got more anodized parts on our bikes than powdercoated or painted ones. They're mostly just black and non-dyed now.
What did get a somewhat out of fashion for a while were all the gay purple, blue and pink dyed parts. I guess now we can go back to laughing at the 14 year olds sporting those again. About Us
